I’ve been doing some thinking on the subject of people-pleasing, and not necessarily in a sexual manner. In fact, my thoughts have had absolutely nothing to do with sex or even with specific examples of pleasing other people. Instead, I’ve been pondering the concept in general, with the following question as the crux of these musings:
If one does something to please someone else — despite that the doer perhaps does not want to — does that make the doer a good person?
